Taste of Cincinnati 2012 Coming This Month

The 34th annual Taste of Cincinnati will be held this Memorial Day Weekend in downtown Cincinnati. Since its beginning in 1979 it has become the country’s longest running festival of the culinary arts. Annually, over 500,000 visitors come to the Taste to sample food from the more than 40 restaurants that participate.  Prior to the event, participating restaurants compete in a tasting to determine the “Best of Taste” awards.  This prestigious distinction judges categories such as Best Appetizer, Best Dessert, Best Soup, and many more.Running from Friday May 25 to Monday May 28, the Taste is one of the the most beloved events in Cincinnati.  There is no admission charge and affordable parking is available nearby in the Fountain Square Garage for only $5 per day.

In addition to all the delicious food sampling, the Taste of Cincinnati is also both a vibrant street and music festival.  There is ongoing live entertainment performing on several stages throughout the festival. A variety of performers are scheduled for the 2012 Taste of Cincinnati including comedians and blues, pop, acoustic, R&B, and country music groups.
